Nathan Eagle is the founder and CEO of Granted AI. As the founder of Jana, he helped provide free internet to 75 million people in over 100 countries. Named one of the “50 People who Will Change the World” by Wired, Eagle was awarded the Kiel Global Economy Prize in 2012 alongside Nobel laureates Daniel Kahneman and Martti Ahtisaari. As a PhD student at MIT in the early 2000s, Nathan Eagle pioneered the use of machine learning to predict human behavior from mobile phone data, which was declared one of the “10 technologies most likely to change the way we live” by the MIT Technology Review in 2008.
